A L M O S T all girls

so i have this FRIEND AT WORK who is pretty darn amazing with the background thing for blogger. she's been creating backgrounds for a while i guess and recently she was kind enough to help me with mine. i wanted something that says 'joanie' or something that is personal to me and our family in some way. i asked her if i took a photo of our newly purchased love seat and chairs, which i love and adore, could she turn that into a background or incorporate it in some way? the answer was yes and i absolutely LOVE how this turned out.  the red striped header/banner is the fabric of our love seat and the blue floral background is from the two chairs that are placed under our window.  all three pieces are in our formal living room.  thank you chelsea .

The kids and I rode up with Malcolm to Logan to visit Brianne. We didn't do much. We got a few groceries, hung out in her apartment and tried to take the bus for the fun of it. That didn't work out since the bus driver was 10 min early. We left Jasmine there to spend the weekend with her big sis and on the way out of town, we went to the baby animal exhibit they had at some farm. The kids loved holding the baby ducks and petting the goats. It was a good day overall.

LAST NIGHT WE HAD DINNER WITH FRIENDS. It was completely spontaneous and ended up being so much fun! I happened to go over to Sam's around 4:30 so she could show me a thing or two about 'blogging' when her hubby came home with pizza! He invited us over and of course I willingly accepted for our family. The men in the neighborhood hung out in the garage and talked "men speak" while the women discussed clipping coupons in the kitchen at another neighbors home. All the children played games outside. In years past, I could never have imagined that conversing over penny pinching would be so satisfying but at 43, it is. Later in the evening, we watched the Biggest Loser together. I love having friends. It always warms my heart to know we have created lasting relationships with good people. We are blessed.
