Thirteen Years and Counting....

Today we celebrated thirteen years as a married couple.  five daughters, two homes, multiple jobs in three different states, a myriad of animals, hundreds of thousands of dollars spent, two kids out the door, hundreds of movies watched, baptisms, blessings, weddings attended....hugs and kisses, sacrifices made, death of a parent and a grandparent, illness, job loss, pregnancy, child birth, i can't count how many trips to the grocery store, car problems, building a home, disappointments, connectedness, hand holding in the movies, family vacations, job promotions, listening, growing.... just a few things we have encountered together in our thirteen years.... and i still welcome the next thirteen.

Mom Gets a New Leg

Today was the much anticipated prosthesis appointment.  It was emotional for me to watch my mom finally get to walk with her new limb.  I even cried when I heard her say 'it feels so good to walk again'. She still has a long road but this is a huge step toward independence!

EMT Graduation

Jasmine wanted to take EMT training this year. She has been thinking about medical school and thought this would be a good start. It was offered through our school district and was a reasonable price. May 18th was the graduation ceremony. She has taken an passed the State Practical Exam and has yet to take the written portion.  Congratulations Jasmine on a job well done.   Now go save some lives! Jas with her teacher, Jen
